When I drove through rural Alberta last summer, I saw this airfield and remembered Nikola Tesla’s contribution to aviation. I remembered his patent for vertical takeoff of airplanes that looked like a combination of a helicopter and a standard airplane. To this day, those kinds of aircraft are used, mostly for military purposes. Thank you, Nikola Tesla, for your contributions to Aviation. This painting, that you inspired me to make, is dedicated to those endeavors of yours!
