The NTHSA is marking its tenth anniversary in 2026, along with the 170^th commemoration of Nikola Tesla’s birth. Throughout the year we have planned numerous events from March to September, to bring focus to Tesla’s many achievements in front of local, and in some cases, international audiences (such as our participation at Serbian Days in May).

In early June we followed with another program, featuring the widely-acclaimed and important film produced by the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade. It was called Wireless, Stories about Nikola Tesla. Very professional, informative and factual, it stressed Nikola Tesla’s interests, friends, and connections with art. As well as being engaging, the movie was also enlightening, from the standpoint of examining him more as a person interested in art and culture rather than just a scientist.

The program (at the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church Hall) opened with a clerical blessing and an introduction by President Lillian D. Beltaos. Karolina Ugljesic, one of our Directors, acted as a proficient and expert emcee. The program also included a video presentation highlighting the NTHSA’s accomplishments over the past ten years.

We are grateful to our members, the Board and the Serbian community for making the day a great success. Many thanks to Zeljko Sulaver for making the necessary arrangements for the venue and attending to all the technical requirements; the Church Board; the Circle of Sisters at the Hall for providing refreshments and delicious treats; Dr. Elaine Beltaos-Kerr for the signature Tesla-themed cupcakes and Karolina Ugljesic for the spanakopita. Congratulations also to Director Marko Srnic upon his graduation as an Engineer!
