Nikola Tesla Day in Niagara Falls, July 2026

While the NTHSA celebrated Nikola Tesla Day in Edmonton, we were fortunate to also
be represented at the Niagara Falls celebration on July 10th by one of our Directors
from Ontario, Dr. Ruth Ramirez. She attended along with her husband Orlando
Rodrigues and friend Edith Pajek.

It was a wonderful opportunity to gather around the monument dedicated to the genius
who harnessed the power of Niagara Falls. Also present were various officials and
luminaries, such as the monument’s sculptor, Les Drysdale, and His Excellency Stefan
Tomašević, the Serbian Ambassador to Canada. The weather was perfect, and in
Ruth’s words, “everything was great”. The evening culminated with a breathtaking
display of dazzling red, blue and white lights projected across the Falls in recognition
Tesla’s Serbian heritage.
